In 1899, Fabbrica Italiana Automobili was established. Fiat's 1903 model was called the 16-20HP, for the 20bhp engine, and this time 100 were built. The 1904 development also had innovative features, such as a water-cooling system powered by a pump and a four-speed manual gearbox that drove the rear.
